Shell
The Royal Dutch Shell was founded in 1907, and our history can be traced back to a small shop in London in the early 19th century, when the Samuel family mainly sold various shells in the store.
Currently, Shell is one of the world's largest energy companies, operating in more than 70 countries and regions around the world, employing approximately 93,000 people. The company is headquartered in The Hague, the Netherlands, and the current CEO is Ben van Beurden. The parent company of the Shell Group is Royal Dutch Shell Limited incorporated in England and Wales.
Shell's development strategy seeks to strengthen our leading position in the oil and gas industry while promoting responsible global energy demand in a responsible manner. Safety and environmental and social responsibility are at the heart of all of Shell's business activities.
