“Hanwei Motorsport” is a professional team registered in CAMF, and participate in all events held by CAMF actively. Hanwei Team has massive experienced outstanding professional signed racers. They create record and history in World Top Rally. Hanwei Motorsport has become the top Auto Sports planning and executives team, which is also the only team has connection with international cross-country motor racing.
Hanwei Team has developed and build 15 off-road vehicles. These vehicles help several domestic famous racers achieved excellent scores. These vehicles have been given a cute nickname as “the little yellow car”. The little yellow car has been widely praised by its simple and efficient system, steady and strong drive force. Meanwhile, Hanwei Team keeps developing new models. In domestic racing circle, it is very rear for a racing team to integrate research and development, design, manufacture, driver training and event service .
2016 Hanwei Team invested a sum money to establish China Racing Technology Research and Development Center with France SMG, becoming the only cooperative partner of SMG in China. Hanwei Team and SMG jointly develops rear drive racing car, and exchange modification technology. SMG also offers long-distance rally service to Hanwei Team. With the help of SMG, Hanwei team achieved excellent scores in 2016, Taklimakan Rally Champion, 6th place of 2 wheel drive group in Silkway Rally. With unremitting effort, Hanwei Team refresh the Chinese racer record in 2020 Dakar , placing 10th in Auto Car group.
SMG was founded in 1997, involved in multiple field; such as ice rally, endurance race, off-road rally, and Historic Rally; and gained massive honors. 2003, SMG decided to focus on development of 2 wheel drive racing car in long-distance off-road rally. Mr Philip, the founder of SMG, lead his team build out the highest level 2 wheel drive racing car with decades of professional experience. SMG gain 8 champions of 2 wheel drive group and 4 stage champions in 12-year Dakar career. Carlos Saines with his SMG GUGGY is the only racer who frightening the mighty MINI Team.
